Pancakes to Pixar

Our Suncoast STARS Community recently kicked off a picture‑perfect summer outing with a delicious breakfast at Station 400. From choosing their meals to chatting with staff and greeting other guests, our STARS practiced real‑world independence and social skills in a warm, welcoming environment.

After breakfast, the adventure continued at Lakewood Ranch Cinemas for Toy Story 5, where the STARS cheered, laughed, and soaked in the magic of the movies together. Outings like this are more than just entertainment— they help build confidence—ordering food, navigating a busy restaurant, and sharing fun experiences with friends all strengthen the everyday life skills that help our adults shine.

We are intentional every day to give our STARS the opportunity to experience the joy of being active, engaged members of the community. We are so grateful for the generous support of our donors and community partners who help to make these opportunities possible.

Innovation in Action

At Suncoast STARS Community we are all about innovation, so we are especially grateful to the Michael Saunders Foundation for their contribution that allowed us to purchase a new SmartBoard for our Work & Enrichment program. This incredible tool is already making a difference, bringing lessons to life with interactive activities, bright visuals, and hands‑on learning opportunities. SmartBoards enable us to create a dynamic learning environment that helps us empower every participant.
